On August 10th 2006 the Orleans Levee District auctioned the boat along with other surplus equipment. David Pizzoferrato bidding on the simultanious e-bay auction was the high bidder. David is from Ohio and is restoring a PBR to running condition and bid on this one to obtain some parts that he needed. We made a deal that would allow him to take what he needed off this boat and sell us the remaining hull for our project.
This was accomplished on August 25th 2006. David came down with a crew from Ohio and also some friends from Alabama came over to help. Our deal gave David the parts he needed and saved him hauling the boat 1,100 miles. We wound up saving the hull to restore for display!
